We are thrilled to be able to share the "CROWN" exhibit at our next Open Studio—featuring the passionate and deep work of our alumna and Mother of MindArt, Wendy “MoMa” Michel!
This is the first time MoMa’s collectible artwork—up to 20 or more out of the 1,000 piece collection—will be showcased in color, alongside her signature B&W pieces.
An interdisciplinary artist and NeuroArts specialist based in Boston, MoMa has been designing and building MINDART—a Creative Wellness process turned Research Lab that uses art to design therapy—for the last seven years. Her latest collection, “CROWN” explores her subconscious mind through various mediums. It features childlike illustrations, interactive experiences, and storytelling that tracks the cycles, patterns, and challenges of her on-and-off battle with her mental health.
"The intricate line work in my paintings symbolizes the neural pathways of the human brain - constantly shifting, evolving, and adapting. By portraying this complexity in a visual medium, I hope to create a powerful representation of my healing process and inspire others to embark on the journey to "CROWN" The Highest Level of Consciousness." ~ Wendy “MoMa” Michel
