MEET ANNA YU!

After 32 years of innovative leadership by our Founding Executive/Artistic Director, Susan Rodgerson, and a year of transition planning, AFH is excited to announce our new Executive Director, Anna Yu.

AFH Founding Executive/Artistic Director, Susan Rodgerson, and new Executive Director Anna Yu

Anna is well positioned to guide AFH into its next growth phase, bringing a unique combination of for-profit creative and non-profit operations experience with her to the role. "Together with a talented team and a strong mission-driven foundation, we look forward to all that Anna will bring to AFH in its next chapter," says Susan.

“We are excited to welcome Anna as the new Executive Director of AFH! She is well positioned to lead AFH on its path of groundbreaking innovation. Anna has impressed us with her ability to connect vision and execution and empower teams to accomplish ambitious goals. We are thrilled to have her on board!”  Yaro Pan, AFH's Chair of the Board of Directors.

Anna’s journey to AFH includes over 20 years of experience in branding, advertising, and marketing. She has worked with a diverse array of global and local clients to develop and implement brand strategy and high-impact creative content. After leaving the creative agency world, she became a valued leader at the non-profit Citizens Schools, serving as Chief Growth Officer and Vice President of Operations.

She has a deep passion for fostering hands-on, experiential learning, supporting diversity, equity, inclusion, and championing workforce development initiatives. And now she has a new home from which to share it with our team, our enterprising teen artists and designers, and our expansive community of supporters, donors, and clients!
